Introducing the working groups of the Community of Practice (CoP)
On December 16th, just before the holiday season, the EMERITUS Community of Practice (CoP) came together for a pivotal online meeting to launch a new initiative: the establishment of Working Groups (WGs). This meeting outlined the next phase of collaboration within the CoP, focusing on leveraging collective expertise to enhance project outcomes.
A new chapter for collaboration
The creation of these four Working Groups marks a significant step forward in our journey. Participants have been grouped based on their specific areas of expertise, ensuring targeted and meaningful contributions. While each WG is distinct, members are encouraged to engage in discussions from other groups if their knowledge aligns with the topics at hand. This flexibility underscores the spirit of collaboration that defines our CoP.
During the meeting, we covered three main points:
- Explaining the working group structure: Each WG has a designated leader who will guide discussions, organise meetings, and ensure the group stays on track toward its objectives.
- Sharing the program timeline: From January to June, WGs will meet regularly, with activities designed to collect actionable feedback on project outcomes.
- Introducing the WG leaders: They will be the primary points of reference and will support and facilitate ideas flow within and across groups.
As we embark on this new phase, we are excited about the potential of the Working Groups to deliver quality feedback and meaningful insights. Your participation is vital to the success of this initiative, and we encourage you to engage in our Community of Practice and explore opportunities to contribute across groups.
